Four by 3000 offers an unprecedented look into the interworking of the Race Across America, one of the most respected and longest running ultra-endurance events in the world following Team Working Nation. Racing from Oceanside, California to Annapolis, Maryland they must ride over 3089 miles with 175,000 feet of climbing in under six days to have a chance of victory. Once the starting gun goes off time does not stop until they cross the finish line. This year the team has lofty goals – as returning champions they not only want to defend their title but also set a world record for fastest time crossing the country on bike. Throughout the six days of racing they are forced to deal with vehicle breakdowns, crew conflicts, severe weather, and family tragedy all while trying to stay focused on their goals. Leading to the tension is the nonstop caravan of support vehicles and crew that must live out of vans for six days with little to no sleep. Follow their journey with never-before seen footage in a story about human spirit and the brotherhood/sisterhood all who take part in the event share. Narrated by Sean Astin.
